History

In the early 80’s a small group of caring individuals came together for the purpose of developing an action plan to assist women in unplanned pregnancies and help them make a choice for life.  These individuals formed the 501C-3 not for profit Crisis Pregnancy Center of Sacramento.   In the early 90’s the Center chose its location on busy El Camino Ave., where over 20,000 cars and a busy city bus line drive by every single day. This location provided room for the center to expand and now occupies 3,000 square feet of space.  In the Spring of 2010, APC opened its second clinic in Folsom, CA, directly behind Folsom Lake College.

In the fall of 2002 the name Crisis Pregnancy Center of Sacramento changed to Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center.  Today, we are a State of California licensed medical clinic staffed with a Medical Director, Nurse Manager and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
