Morielle's Story

Morielle, originally from Ethiopia, moved to the United States with her parents at a young age. Now a devoted mother of four—three daughters and a son—she cherishes her children deeply. However, her journey has not been without pain and difficult decisions. Morielle has experienced abortions in the past, something that still weighs on her.

In February, Morielle discovered she was pregnant again. She was overwhelmed, ashamed, and disappointed in herself because she felt that this unexpected pregnancy didn’t align with the values or beliefs she held. Struggling under the weight of her emotions, she scheduled an appointment with Planned Parenthood to begin the abortion pill process.

But shortly after taking the first pill, Morielle was filled with deep regret. Her heart told her she couldn’t go through with it. When she reached out for help, she was told it was too late—she had already started the process, and there was no turning back. Desperate for hope, Morielle went online and came across Alternatives Pregnancy Center. There, she learned about the abortion pill reversal process and quickly reached out.

Morielle says she was met with compassion and care by our medical staff. Hearing her baby’s heartbeat during an ultrasound brought her immense relief and renewed hope. She felt peace knowing she had a second chance to continue the life growing inside her.

Morielle thinks about her children daily, including the ones she never got to hold. She often wonders what their lives would have been like and how they would have fit into her family. But now, with this pregnancy, Morielle is comforted by the fact that she won’t ever have to wonder. She is grateful for the second chance that the abortion pill reversal gave her.

Clothed in strength and dignity, Morielle is filled with joy and anticipation as she prepares to welcome her newest baby into the world. Her baby is due at the end of October, and she couldn’t be more thankful for the medical care and compassionate support that helped make this all possible.
